Beach Life Music Festival: Lenny Kravitz For The Gold

Music is the universal language of love where everyone from all walks of life can come together and celebrate the one thing we all have in common and that’s our passion for music. It was also a little gifty-poo from the universe for all my hard work. Truth be told I wouldn’t even had known about it if it wasn’t for my new besties in Arizona, another gifty-poo from the universe.

I mentioned I played cupid not too long ago and this is exactly why I believe in serendipity and all things meant to be. This past summer Dave was staying beach front for the month of August, he cruised into the surf shop numerous times while walking the pier so naturally we got to know each other. Actually, he’s the one who inspired me to start reading labels and eating healthier. This is no chance meeting in my opinion. Then one day while roller skating I met Linda who randomly showed up at one of the skate sessions in Fountain Valley. Another not by chance.

It was the funniest thing because I know for a fact it was my higher self at play. I make friends quite easily so it was no surprise that I walked right up to her while she was getting coffee (which come to find out she rarely drinks) and introduced myself. We clicked right away as it was obvious our energy levels matched perfectly but what came out of my mouth next took even me by surprise. Come see me at the pier later today I told her.

She happily obliged and when she did show up David just so happened to be there too. Another one of those coincidences that’s too big to be a coincidence. After chatting for a while and in between customers we all exchanged phone numbers and the rest is history for these two love birds I proudly now call friends. They hit me up a month or so ago and invited me to the Beach Life Music Festival, pick a day they said cause we’ve got your ticket. It was their way of thanking their angel (as they call me) for being the human vessel that brought them together. They both live in Arizona, 18 miles apart.

After picking Friday something was nagging at me to go Saturday too so that’s exactly what I did which brings me to yet another miraculous synchronistic story. I love it when things just fall together naturally, it’s the universes way of saying this was meant to be. I was walking back from a skate session (right before my fumble of course) and noticed my coworker walking on the other side of the street.

After small talk and long story short he needed some shifts covered and wouldn’t you know it so did I. Everything fell magically into place and before I knew it we were all set. I remember that moment like it was yesterday, walking back, shaking my head in amazement on how that was too easy, not to mention too big to be a coincidence. Gotta love being in alignment because that’s exactly what that is.

It wouldn’t be me if I didn’t turn my two day concert affair into an adventure. I didn’t feel like driving back and forth to Redondo Beach so I borrowed my landlords van (once again) and turned it into my traveling hotel room. I laughed so hard when I noticed the universe had given me yet another gifty-poo. Once I was all settled into my spot for the three days and two nights, I noticed the outhouse across the street. I brought my portable potty but what a relief to know it was there just in case lol but that’s the second time a porta potty’s been delivered when I was living out of a vehicle. Thanks team.

The billboard on the way said it all because that’s exactly what I was about to do. Park, play and party. Like I said I’ve been working hard, on myself and my journey in general so I was looking so forward to some time off and out of Huntington Beach. I arrived the day before simply because I could and took advantage of the time doing some self-care and a little grounding. Redondo Beach is quite the quaint little town so what a blessing to hang out for a few.

Lenny Kravitz for the GOLD, wow what an amazing concert. Linda nailed it when she said right after it ended Friday, she said it was insanely satisfying and that was the understatement of the year. It was phenomenal. Train brought me to tears and Lenny Kravitz had me dancing like never before. I even had someone say that anybody with a uterus best check because anybody could’ve left his show pregnant, he was that good.

Aloe Blacc had the crowd going bananas too playing Avicii’s Wake Me Up song which is actually one of my OG songs from the very beginning of my awakening. But hands down, Lenny was the highlight, for me, from both days.

The best part about this video is when he points to the sky. Although I was on staycation I’m also always on assignment. Couldn’t help notice all the lyrics and symbolism hidden in plain sight. Don’t think for a second that he (and all the artists for that matter) don’t know the truth. Don’t think for a second that they don’t know where we came from, where we’re going and how we’re getting there. In fact this concert was also more confirmation for me that I’m on point with everything I’m writing about. Trust and believe, they know.

Mr. Kravitz talking about the one love and brothers and sisters. Cake with their flying saucer symbolism. Train sure has an awful lot of songs about ‘angels” and all of ’em are singing about flying one way or another. If you ask me flying is code for transitioning to the afterlife, to our real life and what is known as Home. Both Train and Sublime use the crown symbol, not sure exactly what that stands for but they both use it. The blue and red symbolism which to me translates into polarity, I’m not 100% but blue and red is everywhere, not just the concert.

If you watch the Avicii video, and again this is my opinion, it’s all about her and her inner child, or perhaps it’s her and her higher self, either way it’s all about waking up (hence the name). It’s all about awakening to a higher consciousness recognizing our worth and power as sparks of the something so much bigger that we can barely comprehend. It’s beautiful really and I can’t wait to see how the universe wakes up humanity as a whole. It’s gotta be something big, big enough to shift society and I for one am looking forward to it.

In the meantime I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing which is my best to choose happy, compassion, understanding and forgiveness while I wait for further instructions. It would be nice if my wrist would giddy up and heal already but I’ve come to the conclusion, today actually, that that’s more about me accepting me for me and less about my eating habits. Most likely a little bit of both but definitely less of the latter.
