Gratitude
I open my eyes with gratitude, grateful all I’ve learned
Wake with anticipation, ready for all I’ve yearned
Thanks for all you provide, each and every day
Thank you for my future, and magical magical May
This is only the beginning, joy for what’s in store
Time to live my life, with every open door
Life lessons I have learned, some of them were hard
Know it’s all for purpose, barely tell I’m scarred
With courage, faith and hope, move forward towards a goal
The help from my brigade, and of course my heart and soul
I did, I shed some tears, and know it’s not my last
Grateful for the strength, to leave ’em in the past
Amazed about the present, the moment here and now
Never in a million years, all I’ve got is WOW
Thank you for my gifts, finally my day
While only one is tangible, it takes my breath away
Don’t forget to say I love you, to someone who you know
It could be the words so needed, if someone’s feelin’ low
Be the change you want to see, and exercise your voice
