Lake Tahoe, San Francisco & Garberville

We left Reno and were then headed for Lake Tahoe. I’d heard a lot of talk about this place but had never been until this trip. What a beautiful city this turned out to be, another town I could totally see myself living in. It reminded me a lot of Lake Arrowhead. I grew up spending many holidays playing in the forest of those mountains. My Aunt Susie (moms sister) and Uncle Ron had a house out there and when we were kids my brother and I along with Scott and Jodi (cousins) would spend hours playing games in the woods. The good ole days when kids went outside and played.

We went through San Francisco and on the Golden Gate Bridge which was cool and all but I will forever think of the true story about a sea lion saving a kids life when I see that bridge. I watched a documentary many moons ago, I’m talking probably twenty years or so about the Golden Gate Bridge and sadly people jumping off of it.

All I remember to this day is this kid was young, maybe early twenties when he wanted to end his life. He jumped and ultimately suffered a lot of broken bones but he survived and was brought to shore by a sea lion. It wasn’t his time I suppose, he still had work to do. Although I didn’t know it at the time when I watched it but it just goes to show once again how we are all connected.

We stopped to get gas and have lunch in Garberville on our way to the Redwoods and what a quaint little spot this was. The food was great with a cozy atmosphere and a waitress who’d been there her whole life.

I took that last picture because of the synchronicity, of course. I found it a wee bit mind blowing to be shown in black and white that my calling is the 144. That’s how I see it anyway. God’s ground crew here to implement change for peace on Earth, and goodwill towards mankind.
