Rio Londres and Rafting

Rio Londres and Rafting

My trip to Rio Londres with my teacher Francis and fellow classmates was fun and educational. Honestly, I felt like  was on an episode of Survivor half the time, for real. But it was cool to see all the different flowers, we were able to enter the local cemetery which I find to be very peaceful.

I don’t fully understand why people get weirded out by them, the spirits have all transitioned and the odds of you running into anything paranormal are pretty slim to none.

I find them fascinating and beautiful and I actually view it as a symbol of death and rebirth. But I suppose you’d have to actually have to have faith and believe it before you could even consider it.

Spent a better part of the day enjoying the beauty Costa Rica has to offer, some more of it anyway. Certainly got my exercise in, stopped to smell the flowers and spoke nothing but Spanish so got our education on too. I learned I need to up the ante on my learning a wee bit. Or a lot. Like a lot a lot.

I was surprised to learn they had white water rafting too. I mean, I guess it makes sense considering it rains half the year but I’ll tell you what, they sure do seem to have it all for a country the size of Illinois. White water rafting, ha. I spent a week doing that in Colorado, thought it would be super cool to be a guide.

That was until the raft I was in flipped on the first fucking day. I don’t know how long we were under, doesn’t matter cause it seemed like forever. I’m a great swimmer and all but that didn’t matter either cause it was no longer fun and games.

Yeah learned real quick I didn’t want to be a guide anymore lol. No thank you. Adrenaline, I had never experienced REAL adrenaline before either, it’s no joke. I didn’t like it one bit. Not even a little. Took a solid 10 minutes for my body to return to normal.
