Sand Castles in HB

This past weekend was nothing short of awesome as my friend Stacy and I volunteered for a surf competition. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, Huntington Beach ALWAYS has something cool goin’ on and Saturday it was a surf competition with sand castles riding piggy back.

This couple was so inspirational with their awesome love story on top of God’s perfect timing money making sand castle working for the Hyatt Regency, when they’re not teaching junior high, at Huntington Beach story. They were amazing and a pleasure to hang with all morning. We weren’t the judges but here’s first and second place, for whatever reason I didn’t get a picture of third place which was a sea turtle and was really cool. Second place was a lighthouse, I love it, but I have to be honest, a lighthouse wasn’t the first thing that came to mind LOL and if you know me at all then you know I need not say more. A lighthouse…if you say so.

And first place was this VW bus. The winners and participants were of all ages but a majority were on the younger side so it was nice to see them all having fun and enjoying some good old fashioned competition and of course Huntington Beach.

I took a selfie with the sea and I kid you not a few days later I was listening to one of my spiritual go-tos and she said take a selfie and look for an anomaly (something out of the norm) in it. So I’m thinking to myself, as a matter of fact I just took a selfie and sure as shit as I look for that anomaly, Spirit didn’t disappoint. Thanks for the sparkles and angel winks in the bottom right corner. Say what you will, I know what they are. Just like I knew the flickering lights above me while worshiping on Sunday were for me too. Thanks Spirit with a shrug of my shoulders and crinkled nose as I feel special because I am.
