Spiritual Warfare. I’ve Seen The Devil

“A final word. Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all God’s armor so you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Therefore put on every piece of God’s armor so you’ll be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil then after the battle you’ll be standing firm. Stand your ground putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes put on (your best pair of Vans no just kidding) the peace that comes from the Good News so you’ll be fully prepared. Put on the readiness to speak the Good News of peace with God. In addition hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.”

Ephesians 6:10 -18 NLT

Spiritual boot camp baby. Then suiting up. Showing up. And reminding them who’s boss. No pressure LOL.

I’ve actually seen what I know to be the devil. He sat at the side of my bed for twelve hours one time. It was an all black figure with a melted face with no eyeballs staring at me. Every time I’d look at him his face would melt a little more. I know he was there waiting for me to either sell my soul or just die already. That was a very scary night and I probably should’ve died that time. I remember it like it was yesterday. That was my last detox from alcohol. Start to finish it lasted nine grueling days. Things nightmares are made of. I’ll spare you the details. For now.
