Thank You Fountain Valley Skate Center

Something happened on our trip in Joshua Tree that I found to be interesting, odd, peculiar. I mentioned that my roll away bed wasn’t made available after all which wasn’t that big of a deal. I figured it was just part of my mastery training, as far as not reacting and being flexible. However, I couldn’t help but notice that for the two nights we spent together in the king size bed my legs ached.

I’m not going to spend too much time thinking about it because it’s neither here nor there, it’s just an observation. They were fine the day before and they’re fine now. I mentioned it to my buddy Andy at the skate center and he was talking about brain studies and perhaps maybe she had compartmentalized some trauma that I was able to pick up on. But speaking of the skate center, I introduced Amber to roller skating and it took my happy place to a whole nother level.

How rad is it that she was allowed on the floor, thank you Fountain Valley Skate Center for making it happen. According to her it isn’t something she’s able to do in New York so I told her it sounds like it’s just another reason to move to Cali.

She had an absolute blast which made me tickled pink. She also mentioned she’d never gone that fast before while I was getting a full body workout. It was a win-win and definitely one of the highlights of our time spent together.

Another highlight was spending a Sunday morning with some of our favorite people from the past. Kim and Miguel Vasquez from Las Palmas in Fullerton California from twenty five years ago. It was the meeting ground for all of us as I worked as a leasing agent when we all found each other. Ber rolled into the office for a package and that was the beginning of that friendship while Kim and Miguel were her neighbors and then friends which quickly made them mine too.

You know friendships were meant to be when you can go decades without seeing or hearing from one another and then when you do finally meet up again you simply pick up right where you left off. This Sunday morning was case in point. We went through their wedding album and came across a picture of Ber and I that was just priceless, even though I have no recollection of attending their wedding. Apparently I had a really good time lol.

Kim and Miguel…friends for life

a picture says a thousand words

Intentional friendships that last a lifetime, they’re all written in the stars.
