The Seven Rays & Building Bridges

A core component of esoteric astrology is the Seven Rays which are described as cosmic energy streams that influence everything in our solar system. Each ray represents a specific quality of Divine Will. In Theosophy, which is a mystical philosophy aiming to understand the hidden spiritual nature of reality, it promotes the idea that all religions share a common, ancient truth, emphasizing unity, reincarnation, and karma, often blending Eastern philosophy with Western esotericism.

I’ve been saying for a while now that there’s truth in every religion and all we need to do is gather all those truths and build from there. I recently learned there’s actually a name for this modern movement that recognizes shared mystical core values. Interspirituality shares common truths and values across the world’s spiritual and religious traditions.

It emphasizes a ‘journey from the head to the heart’ focusing on direct experience, compassion and unity rather than rigid institutional boundaries, it’s been often referred to a ‘spirituality beyond religion’. This sounds like something I’m all about. What’s most important to me though is spiritual sovereignty and every soul finding what works best for them. I am everything and I am nothing when it comes to religious belief systems, and I do find the Seven Rays to be fascinating while speaking truth.

The Seven Rays are distinct streams of divine energy or consciousness (emanating from the Logo, or God) that shape all manifestation, human psychology, and cosmic evolution. Each ray carries a unique vibration, color, and function, influencing human temperament, soul purpose and the development of civilization. They act as fundamental forces in creation that are present within every individual to help further determine and describe personalities and spiritual progression.

These rays represent seven ways of operating divine force, forming a cosmic spectrum of attributes. They’re essentially seven different creative forces of the universe related to celestial beings and every person belongs to a certain ray, or rays, that makes up their attitude, perspective towards life and the influences to the actions they take.

I personally have a birth chart that predominately features Ray 1 because both Aries and Leo are major conductors for this specific energy. I also have Ray 5 and Ray 7. This combination represents a highly potent, focused, and manifesting force, often associated with the ability to bring divine purpose into physical reality through structured action and intelligent understanding. I don’t know why but this last sentence speaks volumes to something inside me.

Let’s not forget that according to Human Design I’m also a Manifesting Generator. MG’s are a high-energy (I’m also double fire sign) individuals designed to move quickly, pivot often and juggle multiple passions at once. With a defined Sacral center (life force and gut responses) connected to the Throat Chakra (communication and expression), I thrive on freedom, responding to life to create efficiency, but must work on my patience to prevent frustration. Haha, you don’t say.

When you combine everything, I’m blown away at the accuracy which makes my self-discovery that much more fun. I love looking this stuff up because it always makes sense and if nothing else, it builds that confidence and keeps moving me in the right direction which is always forward. I’m now constantly moving forward and my life just keeps getting better and better. It’s funny when I think about living in my car for a year, and now my chamber of transformation for roughly four years, I look forward to what’s next cause I’m like the Jefferson’s, I’m movin’ on up.

I kind of wish I knew all this information decades ago but I know I was meant to wake up at this stage of my life for a reason. Everything is about to magically fall back together (after falling apart decades ago) and even these rays have something to do with it.

  1. First Ray: Will/Power (blue) – Associated with power, leadership, strength, and courage, often expressed through leaders and managers.
  2. Second Ray: Love-Wisdom (indigo/dark blue) – Represents teachers, healers, and scholars, focusing on empathy, patience, love, wisdom and truth. Associated with Oneness.
  3. Third Ray: Active Intelligence (green) – Related to philosophy, finance, and abstract thought, focusing on creativity, adaptability, intellect and tactical planning.
  4. Fourth Ray: Harmony through Conflict (yellow) – Focuses on beauty, art, and creating harmony within environments and bridging opposites.
  5. Fifth Ray: Concrete Knowledge or Science (orange)- Linked to observation, analysis, and research. Focuses on mind and precision.
  6. Sixth Ray: Devotion or Abstract Idealism (rose/red)- Governs saints, mystics, and devotees of every religion. Focuses on idealism, devotion, loyalty and passion.
  7. Seventh Ray: Ceremonial Order/Magic (violet)- Relates to manifestation, ritual, and organizing energy with a focus on magic.

Ray 1 (the engine) gives me the innate strength to lead and the ‘will to be’. It helps me break down old conditions so new growth can happen. The classic resurrection energy of death and rebirth which runs parallel with my birthday number 13, the Death card in tarot which represents the same thing. Because Aries and Leo both share this ray, I have a ‘double dose’ of will energy making me a powerful catalyst for change.

Ray 5 (the navigator) suggests my soul purpose involves bringing focused, clear and ‘concrete’ light (information) to the world. It also keeps my Ray 1 from being blind. It represents the energy of intellectual analysis, precision, and the manifestation of divine truth through science and logic, I like to know WHY. Bringing truth to the masses, it’s what I enjoy doing. It’s virtues include justice, independence, perseverance and keen intellect.

Ray 7 (the architect) is all about grounding spirit into matter. It’s my anchor. It’s a spiritual energy focused on manifesting divine will into tangible form. It’s often associated with the Violet Flame for transmutation. It governs structure, organization, and the bridging of inner spiritual qualities with outer reality, embodying the principle ‘as above, so below’.

It helps bring my big Aries ideas to the surface and then organizes them into physical reality or rituals that work. While I wouldn’t necessarily say I’m a fan of ‘rituals’ I am all about magic and benevolent intervention. I’m not just a dreamer, I’m someone who builds systems and I do believe it’s time to start rewriting the rules. I have the focus and will to start (Ray 1), the logic and capacity to learn to plan (Ray 5), and the structure and magic to finish (Ray 7). Let’s not forget all the help and guidance from everything I cannot see.

My recent deep dive into esoteric astrology also taught me that the Rising Sign (Ascendent) always falls in the First House, at least in most traditional and modern astrological systems. It marks the zodiac sign that was rising on the Eastern horizon at the exact moment of birth, which for me was the sign of Leo. Your Rising Sign is the persona you present to the world. I didn’t really pay attention to my Rising Sign placement because I didn’t have any planets in that house.

What clicked for me though was the fact that every single soul incarnated has their Rising Sign in the First House, the House of Self. This house represents your identity, personality, physical appearance and immediate outlook on life. It shapes how you present yourself to the world and how others perceive you. It rules your vitality and your ego, your sense of self and conscious motivations..

With that said, and what that means to me, is that since the First House is the House of Self, every single soul comes to this planet with an innate desire to discover themselves. To find out who they really are and then work with those energies to better themselves. If they so choose of course, and especially if they choose to wake up in this lifetime. I don’t about you but I find that to be some incredible information.

After diving even deeper with my Ray energies I learned that communication is how I express my Ray 1 power. I learned that my voice isn’t just for chit chat, it’s a tool for transformation. Inspiration is a weapon so to speak and as a spiritual warrior it’s a penetrating, intuitively-based mind that I use to wake up and stimulate a new focus of awareness in others which is what my blog is all about.

I came to instigate change in others and my communication style is meant to provoke action by challenging others to think outside the box and motivate others to want to understand more, not just about themselves but about the universe as well. I’m a beacon for others to tune into their own higher selves by speaking my (sometimes bold, haha very bold) truths with clarity and conviction. I was reminded that while my ego has taken the back seat, my soul is here to contribute to the collective outer world.

In esoteric astrology the Houses are calculated differently than traditional systems because the focus shifts from physical circumstances to soul activity. My power is meant to manifest in many areas of my life starting with my 9th House stellium. This is the House of the spiritual mind, higher education, publishing, philosophy and long distance travel. Esoterically it’s where I build my bridge between the human brain and the divine mind. I’m meant to be a pioneer in how humanity thinks about the future and/or spiritual laws.

Then there’s my 1st House, the House of Self and the I AM presence. Esoterically it’s where the soul emerges into the Light. I’m meant to embody the message I bring to the world. By radiating positivity and confidence (after rediscovering myself) I act as a catalyst for others to find their own inner king and queen. I’ll tell you what, I was on top of the world in and around high school.

I was in love with my high school sweetheart, crowned homecoming queen, there were so many positives. I had a great little job, I had it all. As much as you can have as a late teen and in your early 20’s anyway. I was in love with life. The 90’s were the best, until they weren’t. Maybe a year or two later I started a downward spiral. I experienced some events that pulled the rug right out from under my feet. One after another for a couple years.

It deflated every ounce of confidence I had by the time it was done. My reputation was shattered, my heart was broken from numerous people. I then spent the next two decades drowning myself in drugs, alcohol and everything in between to try and forget. My self-worth went right out the window, my self-esteem was superficial and my drive for life was less than ideal. So many deep wounds involving rejection, betrayal (from myself and others), abuse (physically and mentally), abandonment, trauma (old and new) as everything I knew to be safe, normal and loving was gone.

This is exactly why I left California, I was more than willing to move to Colorado. This is where I spent the next two decades drowning myself in blame and guilt and shame, oh my goodness the amount of closet shame I carried was indescribable. I was lost. My connection to Spirit was severed and my desire to love myself was no where to be found.

It’s also where I learned my true grit though, and I’m grateful that I can see that now. I also graduated from college which was a milestone, I was the only one out of my siblings to even attempt college. It did take me about six years because I was on the merry-go-round from hell as I called it. If I wasn’t drinking I was detoxing. So many lessons learned it’s surreal when I look back and recognize that it was all set in place, not just intentionally, but by me as well.

Little did I know I would use every single one of those experiences to be the way out as I have spent the last six years addressing all of this in silence. Forgiving, releasing and letting go of everything that hurt me and all that I let define me for more than twenty plus years. And if I’m being honest, I’m not completely done, there’s still some healing that’s taking place and needs to take place. But by and large I am a completely different person and I am happy to report that I am finally back to that sacred special soul I once was who was thriving in life.

I can’t help but feel like this is why I’m so drawn to the pain I see today, not with myself anymore, but with humanity as a whole. I see all the unreconciled hurt, I see all the trauma, the pain individually and collectively and all I want to do is help heal all of it. I want everyone to feel the liberation and mental freedom that I finally feel today. I want to show people, on a soul level, how to escape the shackles and confinement of this 3D matrix so they too can make the best of what’s to come.

Finally, my 10th House, ironically enough, or coincidentally, they both apply, because in traditional astrology this is the House of reputation and career. Esoterically it’s the House of public service, the House of world service. This is where I forge something permanent for humanity. In other words, this where I manifest something into reality that’s long-lasting, whether that’s a new foundational philosophy, a new type of institution, a healing center, a new business (which is already underway), only time will tell exactly what this is meant to be.

Whatever it is that’s waiting in the wings will be something built from the heart center, a foundation made out of love that derives from the depths of my healing soul. I came to build something permanent and safe for humanity. My experiences, especially the difficult ones, are the very things that have shaped my character, my soul and my rediscovered self.

I’ve worked really hard to reconnect with not just my authentic identity, my values and beliefs but with my Higher Self as well. I haven’t just become a new version of myself, I’ve made conscious choices to better everything about me which oftentimes (more often than not really) has put me in challenging and uncomfortable situations and places. But all is for purpose and all is for the greater good of every other soul on this beautiful planet.

I wouldn’t change a thing because I now understand that everything happens for a reason and my journey, even though it’s still unfolding, was all set in place with so much intention and love. The amount of planning that took place to put together this intricate blueprint is beyond comprehension. So much detail with so many soul contracts and countless up and downs, it’s miraculous really.

I know now that I am a spiritual pioneer (Aries in the 9th House) who uses powerful speech (Mercury and Ray 1) to lead and illuminate (Leo in the 1st House) in a way that builds lasting structures for humanity (Taurus Moon and 10th House). I am an active participant when it comes to the shaping of this New Earth and this isn’t just my blog, it’s the bridge between my divine mind and human awareness.

Fearless Aries. Building bridges.

Bringing divine purpose into reality.
