Pelican
I asked my angels for a sign yesterday because well I needed one. Sometimes you just need a little boost to keep you going and yesterday was one of those times. I asked for it through tarot and while I go my sign, because all you (anybody) has to do is believe and simply ask, the sign I got this morning was so much cooler I had to share.
I was heading to Joann’s Fabric with my brothers roommate Jun (I call him Jun Bug) this morning when I randomly saw a pelican (I can’t even for the life of me recall where now) in the parking lot. And no not a real pelican, that’s why I’m puzzled now as to where I actually saw it, but regardless I did and I said to him, “you know, that’s not the first random pelican I’ve seen lately. Let’s see what the spiritual significance of a pelican is, shall we?”
According to soladiteminds.com, the first one on the list, the pelican symbolizes the passion of Christ mirroring the story of the Pelican sacrifice wherein the mother pelican took her own life for her younglings to live. The narrative is closely related to how Jesus Christ gave his life to save humankind. Wow did this resonate with me. And Jun could definitely attest to me having mentioned something along those lines however long ago back. Now I’m not comparing my mom to Jesus Christ, but I am saying that since the first day she was officially gone I had/have this feeling her passing had/has something to do with me. It’s just a feeling, a deep knowing that I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned before. I can’t explain it nor do I want to but I’ll tell you what, that blew yesterdays sign right out of the water and brought tears to my eyes for sure.
We decided on Joann’s even though Hobby Lobby was having a sale but we opted for Joann’s and mom was definitely with us, we were going to a craft store after all, but when we cornered the beads aisle we were greeted with a big ole 70% off sign. Felt like Christmas in November, I was so excited I almost touched myself.
